It seems we are all taking a second trip to Wakanda as Marvel Studios has confirmed that Black Panther will have a sequel.
According to the Huffington Post, Marvel Studio’s President Kevin Feige confirmed they “will absolutely do a sequel” to Black Panther which grossed $1 billion (and counting) in less than a month of its release. Although there are very few details about part two, Kevin has confirmed that “there have been plenty of conversations [about the sequel] as we were putting together the first ‘Black Panther.’ We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”
Interestingly enough, even Kendrick Lamar told BBCRadio in a recent interview that he’d love to be part of the second film as a villain if given the opportunity. No word on whether he’ll actually be involved but being that he’s already a huge part of the soundtrack, that could be a hint at what’s to come!
