Yvonne Orji Lands Her Second Movie Role In Sci-Fi Drama, ‘Spontaneous’

Insecure breakout star Yvonne Orji, will star in a new sci-fi movie from Awesomeness films.

Yvonne has landed her second movie role alongside Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Hayley Law (Riverdale) and Charlie Plummer (All the Money in the World) in the upcoming sci-fi drama, Spontaneous.

The multitalented actor and comedian will play Special Agent Rosetti in the upcoming film Spontaneous, and from what we know so far about the film, it sounds like it’ll be quite the thriller.

Spontaneous follows Mara Carlyle (Langford), a high schooler whose life is changed forever when students in her senior class start exploding for no reason. Mara and her friends begin to question how to live their lives when tomorrow is no longer a guarantee.

Yvonne Orji will be playing Rosetti, a special agent who is investigating the combustions taking place. According to Orji, she was hoping to do a “dope indy” movie after Night School, but her team thought she’d like Spontaneous instead.

The movie is being written and directed by Brian Duffield — the genius behind Netflix’s underappreciated horror gem, The Babysitter. While no official release date has been announced, production of Spontaneous is currently underway.
